Requirements

Contamination and moisture ingress are common problems on many gearboxes, laboratory sampling can be expensive, requires regular samples to be taken and analysed, therefore to reduce this overhead and to ensure the reliable operation of a critical gearbox a 24 x 7 x365 oil monitoring solution would need to be fitted.

Solutions

By simply fitting the Tan Delta Oil Quality Sensor (OQSx) into the existing lubrication circuit (via an OEM port) on the gearbox and then connecting it directly into the Oil Quality Display (OQDe).

Benefits

The need for regular oil sampling reduced significantly and enabled the operators to view the current condition of the oil in real at any point.
